What Kind Of Candy Was That?

Have you ever wondered "What kind of candy was that?"

We often get people writing in who are looking for a specific type of candy. Often, they don't know exactly what they are looking for.

Maybe it was an old favorite childhood memory or something they tasted recently that they really enjoyed. Either way, they want to know how to make it or where to get it and they post their questions here.

Sometimes I know the answers and can direct them to what they are searching for. Sometimes I don't. That's where you come in.

Take a few minutes to scan through the requests and see if you can help someone find what they are looking for.

Of course, if YOU are looking for a specific type of candy or recipe that you just can't seem to locate, feel free to add your own question to the list.

Either way, simply use the comment link below to share an answer or ask about a candy you're searching for.

Okay, let's get the ball rolling.

Here's our first "What kind of candy is this?" question:"

What is chocolate, pecans, coconut and marshmallows mixed called??

I'm not sure what this was called but I got it for Valentines Day and it was wonderful. If anyone knows what it is called, I would love to know. It was made into a big heart candy.

The coconut tasted like it was toasted coconut. It was ordered online. If I find it, I will be purchasing more..

Thanks,
Michelle

Valentine Rocky Road? NEW
by: Angie

Hi Michelle,

It sounds like you might be talking about some type of rocky road candy. Rocky road usually is chocolate with a combination of other goodies mixed in. Usually marshmallows and nuts are included, but coconut is sometimes used, too.

I had a look around to see if I can find a heart shaped rocky road for sale to see if I could locate the source of your Valentine gift, but was unsuccessful.

Quite often merchants only have their holiday offerings listed right around the particular holiday and then remove them from their listings.

However, this may prick someone's memory and they may be able to help you locate the specific candy you're looking for.
