Valentines Day Chocolate
Gift Basket

Nirvana Chocolates Gift Basket A Valentines Day Chocolate Gift Basket is a beautiful way to delight someone special on this festive occasion.

I love getting chocolate in any form, even something as simple as a single chocolate kiss. Imagine my enchantment when I receive a whole basket of chocolate goodies! You can't wipe the smile off my face.

If you are looking for a gorgeous and scrumptious valentines day candy gift basket, consider Nirvana Chocolates, Lake Champlain Chocolates, or Hickory Farms Gift Baskets. They all look so good, I guarantee you will have a hard time choosing!

You may find that a specialty basket is out of your price range. Or maybe you just want a more personal touch. If so, consider designing your own Valentines Day chocolate gift basket. It is easier than you might think.

To Make Your Own Valentines Day
Chocolate Gift Basket:

  1. Select your base. You don't have to use an actual wicker basket, although they are lovely. You can choose a shallow bowl, a wire basket (they come in all shapes and sizes these days), or even a unique or simple box. I have even stooped so low as to use a shoe box covered in wrapping paper - Shhhh!

The secret to making a really lovely valentines day chocolate gift basket is to be sure your container is shallow enough and broad enough to hold the amount of valentine chocolate candy that you want to give and allow you to display it adequately. You probably don't want everything piled on top of each other too deeply.

  2. Once you have chosen your base, select a liner. Depending on the look you want to achieve you may consider a fabric liner like silk, satin, velvet, linen, or even an adorable calico with mini hearts or chocolate bon bons printed on the fabric. Sometimes for ladies, I like to go with a pretty dish towel as a liner. On the other hand, you could choose to use crushed and crinkled cellophane or shredded paper in a coordinating color to match the basket's theme.

  3. Finally, it is time to fill the basket with your sumptuous selection of valentine chocolates. The beauty of designing your own basket is that you can customize your filling to the taste of the person to whom you are presenting it.

You can choose from gourmet bon bons and truffles to chocolate covered apples and pretzels, or simply use a selection of favorite chocolate candy bars. You don't have to stick with milk chocolate, but can also pick white chocolate or rich dark chocolate. The decision is yours to make.

Visit my page on chocolate candy sellers for a detailed list on where to find just what you are looking for to fill your valentines day chocolate gift basket.

  4. Wrap your finished basket in cellophane or even a sheer fabric netting. Secure it at the top with a nice bow, and you are ready to make someone's day a whole lot brighter - maybe even their whole week. The chocolate probably won't last much longer than that. :)

I must caution you! Once you have made an enticing Valentine's Day chocolate gift basket, you may be tempted to keep it for yourself. Don't give in! Just be sure to buy some extra chocolates that just don't quite fit in the basket. Someone has to eat the leftovers, right? :)
