Make Valentine's Day Special with a Valentines Day Breakfast!

I've finally decided what I would do for the family for Valentines day. I've decided to get up extra early and start a special Valentines Day breakfast.

I'm going to go mostly with a pink/red and white color theme. My treat to myself is that I won't have many dishes to wash as I am going to use pink Styrofoam plates, white napkins and white Styrofoam cups with each person's name written as fancy as I can in red.

For the menu, I plan to make homemade strawberry stuffed french toast, sausage patties cut in a heart shape with a cookie cutter and strawberry milk.

As another special treat, I will also add a little Dove chocolate with the "inspirations" on the wrapper next to each of the plates. (I love those and love to see everyone's reaction when they read them!)

We also started a new tradition that we try use as often as time allows - the gift of words. My husband and I will go around the table after everyone has eaten and will say one thing that we appreciate or love about each person.

This might be something as simple as, "I love that you make me smile so many times during the day", or maybe "You always give such good bear hugs!" "You care so well for your little sister."

Looking into the eyes of those I love and affirming that I like and love them will be the stuffed French toast for their hearts!

Hopefully this will be our Best Valentines Day ever!

A Valentine Breakfast To Start The Day Right NEW
by: Angie

Heather,

I really love your Valentine breakfast idea. It's well thought out with little intricacies that will make wonderful memories for your children that will last a lifetime.

I particularly like the idea of the "gift of words" that you described. Wouldn't that be great if everyone took time to do this on a regular basis.

I hope the day is extra special for all of you, and indeed the best Valentines Day ever!

Blessings,
Angie
