Homemade Valentine Cards and Wrapping Paper

I wanted to show you that I made my hubby a special card for Valentine's Day, then hand stamped some wrapping paper and wrapped his gift in it!

He actually got two gifts so I wrapped each one differently using hearts and flowers stamps. I figure that on Valentine's Day, you can bend the 'masculine' rules a little :)

Hope you like the pictures and that you had a lovely Valentine's Day!

You can see instructions for how I made the card and wrapping paper at these pages:

Hi Susan,

The Valentine card and wrapping paper is so cute. I'm sure your hubby loved it!

Thanks, too, for the good wishes. We enjoyed a nice Valentine's Day, but waited to do something special 'till Monday when we had a little more time.

Thanks again for sharing your creativity with us!

~Angie

Valentine Crafts NEW
by: Angie

Hi Susan,

Do you have any new clever Valentine crafts in store for 2012 Valentine's Day? Another cute homemade card, maybe? Perhaps more beautiful hand made wrapping paper...

Whatever you make, I'm sure it's going to be adorable, and we want to see it. You make papercrafting look so easy and so fun. Is that a word? :)

Haven't decided exactly what I'm going to do for hubby this year. It's coming up quick, so I better get my thinking cap on.

He's not a huge chocolate fan (crazy man), but he does love my homemade oreo truffles so I may whip a batch of those up for him at the very least.

What about you? Any delightful plans in the works?

Happy Valentine's Day to the both of you!

Blessings,
Angie

Valentine's Day Idea Is Percolating NEW
by: Susan

Hi Angie

Thank you for contacting me about possible Valentine's Day projects for 2012. I have been rolling a few ideas around in the back of my mind, yes, and your new contest has galvanised me even more to remember to get to my project in time. My sweet husband deserves something nice. I will certainly post it here when I think of something to make. I actually did see a gorgeous heart shaped box to make the other day and I have been thinking about trying a pattern for one of those out.

I had a look at your hubby's favourite Oreo truffles recipe and oh boy, I think I need to go looking for a box of cookies and make some of those for us! I think they would fit perfectly into a handmade heart-shaped box, don't you?

Bless you too

Susan
