Table Decorations For Easter

by April
(Tucker, GA)

Table Decorations for Easter that Mom can do!

My favorite thing to do during Easter is to organize a little brunch for myself and all the other mommies in the neighborhood.

We all pick a dish to bring so it is not tough on the host.

Last year I had four friends come over. I decided I would festive-it-up with some Easter decorations on my dining room table.

First, I picked out some fabulous flowers from the supermarket. I went to a local thrift store and got five clear vases to put them in (one for each of us).

Then, using the colors that were in the flowers, I scouted some discount stores for dishware that matched them. In this case, there were a few yellows, whites, and reds.

I bought some baby blue candles and scattered them on the table. On my wooden chairs, I tied some light pink chair covers I found at a Salvation Army store.

Finally, of course, I had made some Easter Eggs for all of us and sat them on everyone’s plates.

I also made some watermelon punch to go into clear wine glasses that had blue kool-aid for ice-cubes.

Everything was lovely and very Easter-y!

What lovely ideas, April! I'm a bargain shopper, too, and frequent the second hand stores myself. I really like the idea of finding clever inexpensive ways to decorate or make table decorations for Easter or other special occasions.

Cute idea of making ice cubes from the cool-aid to add another color to the festivities.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your creative ideas. I hope you'll come back and share your creativity again. We always love new ideas to draw from.
