Stuffed Easter Eggs

Just take a whole bunch of cheap, plastic eggs and stuff them with I.O.U's!!

Stuffed Easter eggs are a quick and simple Easter craft idea. I can remember searching for hidden eggs as a child and the excitement of finding what secret treasure lay inside.


Now my parents still plan Easter egg hunts for the grandkids and include the IOU idea. They put little slips of paper that have money amounts, a trip to the dollar store, a trip to McDonald's, and other special outings.


Of course, they DO put candy in some of the plastic eggs, too. But if you want to cut back on giving the kids refined sugar, try using other more natural treats like dried fruit.


You know what else is fun? Having egg hunts throughout the year! My main emphasis on Easter is celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus, but hunting stuffed eggs is such a great activity that you can do it any time you want to stir up some excitement with the kids.
