Striped Chocolate Popcorn
Is there a difference between white candy coating and white chocolate baking chips?
Is there a difference between milk chocolate candy coating and milk chocolate morsels?
I couldn't find toasted pecan halves can I just use raw pecans? If not how can I toast them?
And lastly, how do you add butter to popped popcorn without shriveling up the popcorn?
Thank you so much!
Hi Jessica,
For the purpose of making striped chocolate popcorn, there really is not much difference in using candy coating, chocolate morsels, or baking chips.
I'd say it's a matter of taste preference. If you generally like the flavor of the type you choose, you'll like it on your popcorn too. :)
You can toast your raw pecans yourself quite easily. Here are some good instructions for
roasting pecans that you can follow.
Maybe you are using too much butter if your popcorn is shriveling up. Try cutting down on the amount of butter and just lightly drizzling it over and tossing the popcorn.
I do love buttery popcorn, but I've never really thought too much about the shriveling effect. :)
Hope that helps!
