Sticky Almond Bark

by Cindi

When we cook almond bark too much and it gets dried up and sticky, what can we add to make it smooth?

A drop of olive oil, almond extract? What?

Hi Cindi,

I'm not sure what you mean by "sticky almond bark." What kind of recipe are you using? When I think of almond bark I think of chocolate (sometimes with nuts in it).

If you are just having trouble in the melting process, you have to be careful not to get the chocolate too hot. High temperatures ruin chocolate.

Yes, you can add a teaspoon of olive oil during the melting process to help the chocolate remain smooth and set nicely.

I hope that I understand what you are asking and have answered your question.

Blessings,
Angie

Cindi,

I don't believe there is anyway to recover after almond bark becomes sticky and stiff from too much heat. I have tried both olive oil and extract and neither helped it recover. sorry
