Starting a Chocolate Candy Basket Business
by Carol
I am a little confused and I hope you can help me. Am I too understand that you started a chocolate candy basket business and then learned how to do it on line?
I am interested in learning more about the chocolate candy basket business whether on line or in person.
I love to market and would love to learn more details in addition to learning how to develop a website on how to market my baskets.
Is this what you are teaching?
Can anyone learn for any area?
Are the areas protected?
What exactly are you purchasing?
Do you just supply available companies to purchase product at cost? Do you also teach or have available different ideas for new techniques of baskets? Is there a franchise fee?
I know you must be very busy but if you could answer A.S.A.P. it would really help me.
Thank you so very much.
Carol
Hi Carol,
Welcome to Chocolate Candy Mall. Let's see if I can answer some of your questions.
No, I didn't start an offline chocolate candy basket business first. I've made a number of chocolate candy baskets as gifts, but I haven't sold them.
My online business is a referral business. I provide recipes, 'how-to' information, and 'where to find it' information to my site visitors.
When they go to the places I recommend and make a purchase, I earn a commission. It's called affiliate marketing. I don't have to make, stock, or ship products at all. It suits my lifestyle that way.
However, if you wanted to make gift baskets and sell them online, you can easily do so. You can build an online business so much easier than an offline business these days. The investment start up cost is so much less than a bricks and mortar business.
I had no idea how to build a website business, but the program that taught me how to build this site is called
SiteBuildIt. They take you through the process step by step and provide everything you need (apart from your own brains and motivation) to build a successful web business for only $299 per year.
In fact, you can build a web business about almost any subject you really enjoy, whether you sell your own products or refer other company's products.
There are no
restricted areas. Obviously you can't violate trademarks or copywrite laws, but apart from that it really is remarkable what you can do.
There are many different ways to make money from a website business. I've only mentioned a couple. As part of the website building package you get an amazing amount of resources and ideas that will teach you numerous options.
The hardest part is being patient and diligent in the early stages of building your business. Everyone these days wants immediate results. It doesn't work that way.
You have to be willing to work hard up front to build your site (following their step-by-step instructions) and then the traffic will start to build.
Chocolate Candy Mall just turned 2 years old, and it gets over 2000 free visitors every day from the search engines. I don't have to pay anything for advertising to attract visitors. People find my site, similar to the way you must have. :-)
Anyway, I think it was a blessing from the Lord the day I discovered
SBI.
By the way, they just started their annual Christmas special. It's the best sale they have all year. When you buy one site building package for $299, you get a second one for free!
You can save the second site package for up to 9 months before you have to activate it, or you can give it to someone as a gift or go halves with someone else who would also like to start some type of business.
Personally, I think it would be an amazing Christmas gift to give someone. Imagine giving someone the ability to start their own home business.
As far as getting the products you may want to sell at wholesale prices, the best place for that is
Worldwide Brands. I don't use them myself yet, since I don't sell my own products or drop ship, but I've done my research, and they are the best and most reliable company for that type of thing.
So, whether you are interested in starting a chocolate candy basket business specifically, or any other type of online business, I definitely can highly recommend
SiteBuildIt.
Of course, I'd be happy to help you through the learning process as you need it, if you decide to give it a try.
Blessings,
Angie
