Spray Your Mold?

by Stacy
(NY)

Should you spray your mold with non-stick spray before piping in chocolate?

Hi Stacy,

I don't grease my candy molds at all. I have read that some people do lightly spray their chocolate molds, but it isn't usually recommended.

The exception may be if you are mixing something really sticky with them like marshmallows or caramel.

Just be sure your candy making molds are clean and dry before using. If you allow the chocolate to completely set (maybe even pop them into the fridge or freezer for a few minutes) you shouldn't have any trouble getting the molded chocolate candy out.

Have fun!
Angie
