Shelf Life Of Truffles

by Katy
(London, UK)

Can anyone put my mind to rest please regarding the shelf life of truffles?

I'm planning on making Truffles for Christmas presents, but I'm slightly worried that Truffles containing cream will go off before friends and family even receive them.

Thank you,
Katy

Hi Katy,

What a yummy treat for your friends and family - homemade truffles! :)

Truffles made with cream will usually last about 2 weeks or so.

If you need the truffles to have a longer shelf life, try substituting a portion of the cream with corn syrup or honey. This will stabilize the truffle giving it a couple of months of shelf life in most cases.
