When using candy molds, don't put oil in the molds, it will make your molds sticky. The shinier the molds look, the nicer your candy will look. Sometimes the chocolate will get a cloudy or white look to it, you need to watch that your chocolate isn't getting too hot or the cooling process isn't too long. I place my molds after they are ready in the freezer for 10 minutes and they will pop right out of the mold on wax paper. If they don't, place them in the freezer for another few minutes and the candy should come right out with a gentle tap on the mold. I layer my counter with wax paper and place all candies on the wax paper before I get it ready to wrap or place in small decorative bags. Happy candymaking!!!! If you want more info - contact me!!!

Oil Your Molds by: Angie
You don't always have to oil your molds, but if you are having trouble with discoloration, it is sometimes helpful to do so.
I would use the tiniest bit of Crisco shortening or a drop of coconut oil or vegetable oil to lightly coat the mold.
After using the molds a few times, they should be "seasoned" and won't need this prepping.

lightly oil the mold? by: Robert
What would you use too lightly oil the mold to make them shiny? I didn't know this part
My mom got me into this one! She made it (with my sisters and I) for Christmas a few years back. I will never forget that day! We had a blast in the kitchen.
