Peppermint Bark Freezing

My question is about Peppermint Bark Freezing...

I have made extra peppermint bark with white chocolate and candy canes. How do I freeze it, and how long will it last in the freezer.

Thank you,
Anne

Hi Anne,

If you are going to freeze the peppermint bark, be sure to wrap it well. You may want to start with waxed paper and then some plastic wrap or foil, and then into an airtight container. The idea is to keep out as much moisture as possible.

It should keep several months in the freezer. When you defrost it, leave it in the wrappings until it is room temperature to try to cut down on the condensation.

Honestly, I think you would be able to store the peppermint bark at room temperature for just about as long if you just keep it in an airtight container (a glass jar works great) and away from direct sunlight or drastic temperature changes.

I haven't done any peppermint bark freezing myself, so if anyone else has some words of wisdom to add here, please do.

Thanks,
Angie
