Melted Candy Melts

Can I save my melted candy melts?

I already melted my candy melts for cake pops but I have leftover melted chocolate. Can I save it for later?

Hi Becky,

Yes, regular chocolate and candy melts can be re-melted and used again and again until it is gone.

That's one of the great things I love about working with chocolate is that it has such a long shelf life.

It's better to "over buy" when you are working on a project so that you are sure to have enough to make as many cake pops, molded chocolates, chocolate covered pretzels, or whatever scrumptious treat you are working on.

The "extra" chocolate won't go to waste because you can save the leftovers for your next batch or for something else entirely.

You don't have to freeze or refrigerate the leftovers. Just keep it in an airtight container away to prevent the chocolate from absorbing other smells in your pantry. You don't want your next chocolate treat to taste like onions or potpourri. ;~)

So, tell me more about these cake pops! How did they turn out? Do you have any photos? We'd love to see your work.

Don't worry, they don't have to look "professional." We're almost all amateurs around here and quite enjoy seeing projects others are making as inspiration.

Do share if you can!
Blessings,
Angie
