An Incredibly Fast Growing Specialty Candy Store

How in the world did I miss the debut and growth of IT'SUGAR, the popular candy stores springing up across America?

I admit I can be out of the loop on a lot of things since I've spent most of the last 18 years out of the country, but seriously, with my sweet tooth I don't know how this one got past me.

This candy shop has over 75 locations all across the country, so there's a good chance there may be a store near you.  However, most of my time in the US is spent in Indiana and Ohio where IT'SUGAR has not yet expanded to. 

That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it. :)

My sheltered existence has come to an end thanks to Sandra, an IT'SUGAR rep, who brought the company to my attention and offered to send me a goodie box so I could try some of their treats  for free and give my honest opinion on them.

Now you know full well that was an offer I couldn't pass up! 

I told Sandra to surprise me and "sensing" my love for chocolate, she didn't disappoint.  She sent along some real classics and had me drooling within moments.

My IT'SUGAR Tasting Experience

The first thing to catch my eye was this giant box of milk chocolate covered malted milk balls.

IT'SUGAR calls it a Chocolate Lovers Dream, and I can certainly understand why.  When I bit into my first ball of goodness I discovered that the layer of chocolate was thicker than you normally get on a malted milk ball.

I had a few friends over and offered to share with them.  (Wasn't that nice of me?)  They both thought the chocolate was a little too sweet and a little too thick. 

I guess some people prefer a more balanced ratio of chocolate to malted milk candy, but keep in mind this treat IS called Chocolate Lovers Dream for a reason.  :)

I admit that this candy is a rich treat, so I can't eat one right after another like I can with some other treats, but in my mind that can be a good thing.  It helps me have a bit of self control - always welcome!

A feature that I found quite cute and fun was the clever packaging that IT'SUGAR designed for this dreamy chocolate treat.

On the back of the box was a large search-a-word with plenty of drool-worthy words to discover.  It reminded me of the fun cereal boxes I used to enjoy as a kid.  In addition to the chocolatey goodness, I'm sure this puzzle would also be a big hit with kids of all ages.

Finally, I want to tell you about the candy bars Sandra sent me.  I am a chocolate bar fanatic and you'll rarely find one that I don't thoroughly enjoy. 

I was delighted to see an Oh Henry chocolate bar!  I haven't enjoyed an Oh Henry in decades, so that was the first candy bar to meet it's demise.

Mmmm!  I had forgotten how much I enjoyed that delicious combination of chocolate, caramel, and nuts.  This is definitely a nostalgic candy bar for me.  It brings back memories of childhood.

That's another thing I should mention about this unique candy specialty store.  They have a whole range of nostalgic candy as well as a fun range of Giant Candy for those that want to make a statement or make someone they love laugh out loud. You'll love it!

The Aero and Galaxy bars are next on my list of indulgences and I'm really looking forward to sinking my teeth into them.  What??  Even I have to pace myself!  I'm not going to eat it ALL in one day - at least not this time.  ;)

Bottom Line?  I love IT'SUGAR!  The chocolate candy was fun, fresh, and delicious.  As I travel this summer I will be keeping my eyes open for one of their many candy store locations. 

The good news is that you can also shop online at IT'SUGAR candy shop and indulge yourself or someone you love even if you don't live near one of their offline candy stores.
