I Need Ideas For My Chocolate Wedding!

Elegant Chocolate Cake With Fruit Decorations

Elegant Chocolate Cake With Fruit Decorations

Hi there...I am wondering if you can help me...I am looking for unique/creative ideas that are still elegant to use for my chocolate wedding.

So far, the sweet-table will be all chocolate items. And the cake flavors will contain chocolate, but as far as design - I have no idea yet.

I have chocolate truffles which I will put in chocolate organza bags for favors. But, I am looking for other ideas in terms of the bonbonniere, cake design, and centerpieces.

Finding someone to work with the area has been difficult too. I am not sure where you are located but I am in the Greater Toronto Area. If you have any creative ideas - I would love to hear them! Thank you!

How About Chocolate Lollipop Bouquets?
by: Angie

Hi Trina,
Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! By the sounds of it, I wish I could attend and enjoy some of the desserts. :-)

I've been thinking about what you could possibly add, and I thought a chocolate lollipop bouquet would make a nice centerpiece for the various tables.

You could make them yourself if you wanted to, using chocolate molds in the shape of hearts, bride & grooms, etc. It would be fairly simple. Just follow the instructions for chocolate lollipop molds and then choose a "container" to display them on each table.

Depending on your wedding colors and the sizes of the tables, you could use something as simple as lovely mugs or tea cups, or maybe something larger like a clear bowl or pretty basket.

There are step by step instructions for making various chocolate candy bouquets that you could use to spruce them up any way you like.

If you make sure there are enough for each guest, these molded lollipops can double as wedding favors.

Well, that's the first thing that came to mind.

For cake design ideas, check out a site called pinkcakebox.com. I don't think they service Canada, but they have some amazing designs that might give you some creative ideas.

Hopefully, some other chocolate lovers will add their ideas here, too. Come on everyone, jump on board and help out Trina! :-)

THERE'S ALWAYS AN ALTERNATIVE
by: DR JUDY

hI TINA Congratulations! You're ideas for chocolate for the wedding sound mahvelous! Everyone that isn't allergic to it will LOVE it!\
For those that are, you need to use CAROB Powder to make the chocolate items or make it vanilla or hazelnut without major allergy items like the 5 most prevalent - wheat, peanuts, citrus, milk products including eggs, and sugar. Let me know if I can help you to make these attendants happy with the selection. I know that it is hard to please everyone but even one alternative would be super!! Chocolate Flowers

You might consider constructing boutonnieres and centerpieces from roses, etc., made from chocolate clay. The recipe is easily found on the internet. The one I found calls for 'chocolate' chocolate but 'white' could be used for colors other than brown. Have fun.
