Hum-Dinger Balls
by Caren Breland

Here's a recipe for Hum-Dinger Balls that are a Christmas candy tradition from when I was a girl.
This is a quick little candy recipe but tastes like it took a lot of work. My aunt used to make them and bring them for Christmas dinner. They always make me think of those happy past family times when I was younger.
- 2 sticks margarine, melted
- 1 can coconut
- 1 lb. dates
- 2 cups pecans
- 4 cup Rice Krispies
- 1 box brown sugar
- powdered sugar
- Melt margarine.
- Add dates and brown sugar and cook till well blended together.
- Add the coconut, pecans, and Rice Krispies. Stir all together and form the mixture into balls.
- Roll the balls in powdered sugar.
Thanks Caren!
