How To Make Chocolate Stick To Paper?

by Judy
(Pennsylvania)

My question is about how to make chocolate stick to paper that is glossy? Could you please answer this question as soon as possible?

I need to get paper to stick to a chocolate mold I made. What can I use?

Thank you so very much.

Hi Judy,

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to accomplish, but what have you tried so far? Have you tried melting a little chocolate and using it like a 'glue' to attach the molded chocolate to the paper?

Is the problem the fact that the paper is glossy?

How about trying frosting? You can probably use canned frosting if you happen to have some on hand.

There is also an edible type glue recipe you can make...

3/4 cup water
2 tbsp. corn syrup
1 tsp. white vinegar

1/2 cup cornstarch
3/4 cup cold water

Mix water, syrup and vinegar in small saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil. In small bowl, mix cornstarch and cold water. Add this mixture slowly to first mixture. Stir constantly. Let stand overnight before using.

Another option is to make the edible glue with Tylopur or Tylose powder and water as shown in the video below.

I hope one of these solutions will work for you.

Blessings,
Angie
