How long are candy wafers good?

My sister-in-law passed away recently and we found a lot of candy wafers that she used when making candy. We are not sure how long they are good for or if we should discard them.

How long are candy wafers good?

Hi Paula,

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your sister-in-law. I recently lost my dear mother and you have my sincerest sympathies.

The good news about the candy wafers is that they have an almost indefinite shelf life. :) As long as they haven't been stored in really bizarre conditions, they should be perfectly fine.

Assuming your sister-in-law knew not to store the candy wafers near something with a strong smell they should taste great once they are melted and used in candy making.

You can always give them a taste yourself to ensure that they are fine. Are you going to take up candy making? It's a lot of fun. There are tons of recipes here at Chocolate Candy Mall for molded candy, dipped candy, chocolate covered treats, etc. Give them a try.

Blessings,
Angie
