Homemade Chocolate For Candy Molds

by Connie
(Covington, TN)

Is there a recipe for homemade chocolate for candy molds that I can make and be able to pour into my candy molds?

I am wanting to make my own chocolate that I can pour into my candy molds, instead of melting down the bars and wafers.

Hi Connie,

There have been several people lately looking for that kind of recipe.

You could use the basic chocolate candy recipe, or even a fudge recipe and pour it into your molds, but you aren't going to end up with the same texture and consistency as you would from melting chocolate bars, wafers, or chips.

As long as you aren't expecting those results it should work fine. If you want traditional molded chocolate candy, you really need to use melted chocolate as your foundation.

Let us know how it works out for you! :-)
