I know Hershey's chocolate isn't considered "gourmet" but I really love it! Perhaps it has something to do with childhood memories of sharing a Hershey bar with my mom, but I almost prefer a Hershey kiss to a gourmet truffle.

Truthfully, I don't even need a special occasion to indulge in a chocolate kiss or two or ten... As long as I can get my hands on them, there is no such thing as a safe chocolate kiss! :)

Another favorite use for Hershey kisses is to make those kiss cookies called Peanut Butter Blossoms. Something about those peanut butter blossoms are completely and utterly addictive. The Hershey website also has a whole range of alternative variations on the recipe so you can create a flavor combo that you won't be able to resist.

Of course, you probably know that there are also all kinds of flavors when it comes to Hershey kisses. Back when I was a kid there was just the original Hershey chocolate.

Eventually they came out with a range of other varieties like the "hugs" which had the white chocolate swirled in, the chocolate almond, the Special dark chocolate, cookies and cream, and the chocolate caramel.

Of course, there are also all the cool seasonal flavors - peppermint, pumpkin, cherry cordial, macadamia nut, etc. When they are not in season, that's exactly when you can turn to eBay to find the flavor or sort you are interested in.
