Ritz Cracker and Pretzel Spiders

My Halloween Spiders for Michael.

Ok, so these spiders are super easy to make. All you need is Ritz crackers, spray cheese, and stick pretzels.

First you take a Ritz cracker and you spray the cheese on it (as much cheese as you desire for the body).

Then you put three stick pretzels on each side for the legs.

Last but not least, you put another Ritz cracker on top.

Cute idea, Elma. It really is simple isn't it? But kids will love eating them. A little extra effort like that makes an event so much more of an adventure.

Fun Snacks For Kids With Ritz Crackers

I was just reminded of this cute idea today while I was thinking about something fun to do with my Sunday School class.

We've been talking about the wise words of Solomon lately and learning the meaning behinds some of the Proverbs. So, I was thinking maybe Proverbs 30:28 would go along with this fun snack with the Ritz crackers.

Proverbs 30:28
The spider taketh hold with her hands,
and is in kings' palaces.

Although we don't have the spray cheese here in Australia, we can use cream cheese or peanut butter for the filling. I was even thinking some cream cheese topped with a bit of jam would be a yummy combination of flavors.

Also, I think I may have the kids add eyes with raisins or mini chocolate chips. I think they'll get a big kick out of it and hopefully the lesson will be remembered as a result! :)
