Graduation Candy Bar Card for Nick

I made this chocolate candy bar card for my son when he graduated high school. I kind of went overboard, but we were so happy and proud of him, that we wanted to show it.

The card said ....

CONGRATULATIONS NICK !

Do UNO how proud we are of your aMAZING accomplishment of getting your WHATCHAMACALLIT(diploma)? We are in SHOCK, think our eyes are playing TWIX and have VERTIGO. But we will not SNICKER or CHUCKLE, and you will only hear a SYMPHONY of cheers as you graduate. It was a ROCKY ROAD with MOUNDS and MOUNTAINs along the way. LOOK, you have proven you are not an AIRHEAD, LEMONHEAD, DUM DUM or FLAKE. But you are a SMARTIE. NOW not LATER, is time for the real world. We hope you SKOR a PAYDAY somewhere between ZERO and 100GRAND. But don't let it slip through your BUTTERFINGERs. Give up expecting the BOUNTY of the golden ticket in a WONKA BAR. Avoid thinking that you are a RED HOT BIG HUNK that can live off some HOT TAMALE. Also don't ROLOver and become a SUGAR DADDY. You can do anything you want now! You can take a WHOPPER of a trip on an AEROplane through the STARBURST or ORBIT the MILKY WAY. A FAST BREAK to the beach is nice too! TAKE 5 and enjoy your CAREFREE summer. Get ready to hit the books again EXTRA hard. WERTHER or not you succeed is up to you. There are many GOOD & PLENTY times ahead. Life is not always a PICNIC. You may hit a SOUR PATCH. Remember you can always count on us if you need a LIFESAVER.

This has got to be one of the best candy bar cards I've ever seen as far as "verse" is concerned.

You came up with some very clever phrases. I love it! Thank you so much for sharing it here with the rest of us.

I loved your card for your son, it was really neat. I did one years ago for a friend who was sick in the hospital. It was the "talk" on the floor. Everyone loved it.
Get Well Candy Bar Cards

A 'Get Well' candy bar card is a great idea, too. Really, you can use the idea for almost any occasion. It's simple, fun, and creative.

I imagine it would cause talk no matter where it was given. It shows that you went that extra mile for someone and shared not only chocolate, but a piece of yourself. :-)

Boy, you haven't given us much to go on. Here's a few quick ideas you could try.


    Thanks for being such a LIFESAVER of a friend. You've put a lot of (Almond)JOY into my life. I'm going to miss you so much even though I know you aren't going to MARS. We may have more miles TWIX us, but nothing will ever CRUNCH our friendship. Don't worry, I'm not really going to fall to (Reeses)PIECES, but it won't be a PICNIC around here without you. As you head off, I hope you don't have a ROCKY ROAD ahead of you. Instead, I hope life will be a little more CAREFREE for you and that you can TAKE 5 minutes from time to time to think about all of us.



Now, since I have no idea who your card is for, you can make it more personal or less personal or more targeted to the occasion. Hope that helps!
birthday candy card

Made one a few years ago for my principal's birthday, and it is still the talk of the school. Everyone loved it, especially the principal. She gave me a hug every time she saw me for weeks after her birthday! Every year now on her birthday I am expected to top it!!

It read:

For your Birthday, I wanted to do
something SPECIAL for you. The 3 MUSKETEERS in your office & BABY RUTH (her secretary's name was Ruthie) told me to get you a WHATCHAMACALLIT from 5TH AVENUE but being a BUTTERFINGER I dropped it & it broke. I thought about giving you 100 GRAND but that will have to wait until PAYDAY. I thought about composing a SYMPHONY for you but we all know I am tone deaf! You know I would go into ORBIT to the ends of the MILKY WAY for the perfect gift. So enjoy for NOW & LATER when you read this card & SNICKER, remember the good wishes & HUGS / KISSES sent your way. MUNCH on the MOUNDS of goodies on this card, but don’t make a FAST BREAK for it all at once, I don’t want you to turn into a WHOPPER or getting too CHUNKY.
