Freshness for Homemade Candy

How long do chocolate dipped pecans, chocolate covered Ritz bite-size, and mini chocolate covered Oreo's stay fresh?

Oh yeah, Can they stay packed in a new tin?

Hi Suzanne,

The chocolate dipped pecans, chocolate covered Oreo cookies, and the chocolate covered Ritz bites should all keep really well and stay fresh for several weeks or even more if they have not been refrigerated.


Store them in an airtight container. A new tin is perfect. It's a good idea to layer them with wax paper between the cookies so they don't all stick together if the weather should change slightly.


Honestly, they sound really yummy. I haven't had had the dipped cookies in ages.
