Fondant Question...

I have a Fondant question...
Is it possible/easy to use rolled fondant in candy molds? I have a
present candy mold I used to make chocolate candies.
I was wanting to fill the fondant lined molds with a cake/frosting mixture (bake cake as directed, and when cooled mix with frosting) I saw
here.
I'm not sure though. I've looked online on other sites but I can't find any information. Help please! Thanks.
I really don't see why you couldn't do this, Madalena. I think it may depend on the particular fondant you make.
I saw a rolled fondant at
Candyland Crafts called Satin Ice. It is extremely pliable and able to be rolled quite thin and still be handled.
I imagine that's what you'd be aiming for with using it in molds. In fact, they mention fondant molds on their
fondant tools and accessories page, so it must be 'do-able.'
Give it a try and let us know how it turns out. You've got my curiosity going. Has anyone else used fondant to make filled candies with molds?
Have fun!
