The World's best Chocolate really is Esther Price Candies located in my hometown, Dayton, Ohio!!!!!!!!!!


Except for Hershey's, it is the ONLY chocolate I will put 2 my lips!





Thanks for that, Eve. I love hearing about chocolate sellers that I've never tried before. I'm from Ohio, but from the northern part of the state.


I was completely oblivious to Esther Price, but they sound like they are definitely worth checking out.


If you're in Georgia now, I guess you probably are having withdrawal symptoms. :) Do you have your family send you care packages (aka survival kits) of Esther Price Candy?


Hopefully, one of these days I'll get to sample some of their fine chocolates.

Their shipping charge is 2 expensive, so I get a few boxes each time I go home:)

I know what you mean about shipping costs. I'm in Australia so shipping is out of the question in most cases. I'll be back in the US in a few months for a whole year, so I'll probably gain 20 lbs. indulging in all of my old favorites and discover some new ones too.

Hi , I love Esther Price candy.I have given this candy to my family for a gift.And everyone raved at how wonderful it is,I have bought from others ,believe me none compared.I just ordered A four and a hafe pound box. Am going to order now for my sister-in -law and my sisters ,they say it is the best. So thank you so much for for keeping the shipping cost down so i can do this. I am from Columbus,Ohio and live in Florida. So now is the perfect time to send ground shipment .

As a young man (17) I boarded from a family that
lived in a house behind Ester Price.Since I mowed
her lawn and helped clean the large candy making
kettles, I knew her well. She was a super person.
I am now 75 and every time I get to Dayton, I
drive by Wayne Avenue and remember the good times
from days gone by.I also eat more than my share
of the best candy made.

i have been searching for the price candy that produced "anniclairs" a dark and milk with pecans and a yummy white filling. sold at may co. and then robinsons department stores in the early 70's
in jacksonville florida. does anyone recall this product. thanks for info

I'm not familiar with Anna Clair Candy personally, but it sounds good based on your description. I've had a look around and only found them at a couple of places.

The first one that has them listed is Margaretes Fine Chocolates.

That's not a site I'm familiar with, but do let us know if you decide to try them. We want to know what you think.

The only other place I've seen them is Kay's Hallmark located at 4828 Camp Bowie, Fort Worth, Texas. The phone number is (817)731-8283. It doesn't look like you can purchase directly from the site, but perhaps you can give them a ring and place an order over the phone.

Hope that helps you locate the Annaclairs or Anniclairs you are looking for.

After eating Esther Price chocolate, you will want no one else's, because this chocolate is velvety smooth like none you have ever tasted. Its still homemade by some people, whose families have worked there 2 generations! It is a perfect chocolate taste experience-NOT machined for that designer look. Like a beautiful woman, who needs no makeup to be scrupcious, Esther will ruin you. You will want no other chocolate! Like other Daytonians and many out-of-staters, who share in this discovery- I'm hooked! HELP!!!!!

I was born and raised in Dayton, but when I relocated to Portland, OR I felt like a part of me was missing! Over here, we have See's Candy, but their chocolate is chalky and pretty horrible tasting. Luckily, my mom visits a few times a year and I'm like a dog meeting their owner by the door, waiting for her to unzip her suitcase and pull out the gold shiny box. Whenever my coworkers hear my mom's going to be in town, they shout at me with excitement "IS SHE BRINGING THE CHOCOLATE?" Esther Price chocolate is truly a treasure.
