Quick and Easy Brownie Recipe

If you're like me, you've searched for an easy brownie recipe that will make any amateur baker feel like a master.

Many times we've felt the panic when remembering at the last moment that we we're supposed to make something for our child's class the next morning.

Well fear no more! This brownie recipe will be a life and a time saver!

I've always struggled when it comes to perfecting my dessert skills, but luckily I come from a family with a baking background who were more than happy to pass along their tricks of the trade to me.

Now I'm going to pass them on to you!

This is one of the brownie recipes that I always keep in my recipe binder because it's simple, quick, and absolutely delicious.

For me the fewer ingredients you need, the easier the recipe, right? Thankfully this recipe keeps you to the basics, and you probably already have them all in your pantry already.

As opposed to other brownie recipes, this one is going to be a one bowl mix which also helps with the cleanup, but that also means there is only bowl to lick clean!

Easy Brownie Recipe

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cups of cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of melted butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 Tsp of vanilla extract

  1. The first step in whipping up these delightful brownies is to preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. and grease your baking dish.

Make sure all of your ingredients are prepped and ready to go. Melt the butter and let it cool. Also make sure to lightly beat the eggs. The trick here is to not over beat the eggs because that will help to keep your brownies from getting too heavy.

  2. Start by combining your flour, sugar, and cocoa powder until all of the dry ingredients are evenly combined.

  3. With this recipe I use a two step rhythm - pour and mix. Pour in the melted butter and mix then do the same for the eggs and lastly the vanilla extract. Once the batter is mixed well it will be thick and shouldn't have too many lumps.

  4. Now the brownie mixture is ready to pour right into your greased baking dish. Bake for around 25 minutes until batter is completely cooked. I always use the toothpick method to check for done-ness. Stick a toothpick into the center of your brownies and if it comes out clean, then you are ready to pull them out of the oven.

I promise you will feel as if these brownies took you all day, that's the trick to the perfect recipe.

This easy brownie recipe is so simple that you should have no fear letting your kids lend a hand. It's a great way to spend family time together and it helps any budding baker feel like they've accomplished something delicious.

The more hands you have in the baking process the more hands you have in the cleaning process!
