Easter Tree

Easter Tree Decoration

Easter Tree Decoration

I made this Easter Tree for church.

Start with a branch from a lilac bush. Embed the branch in plaster of Paris. The moisture from the plaster of Paris may cause the branch to leaf out or even blossom, which is a nice added touch.

Spray the branch with watered down latex or acrylic paint. I used white but pastels would work nicely, too.

Decorate the "tree" with eggs you have blown out and painted, along with commercial or handmade ornaments. You can attach them with ribbon.

Wind a string of white or pastel lights around the branches.

Stuff Easter basket grass around the base of the branch, along with a few eggs or toys.

Use your imagination!

Hi Jane,

Your Easter tree is a great decorating idea for Easter and quite inexpensive to make. Thanks so much for adding the photo as it really helps everyone to see the finished product.

You mentioned eggs that have been "blown out" and painted. Could you use the comment link below to explain that process for those who have never done it before? It may save some of us from making silly or messy mistakes in the process.

Thanks again for adding such a lovely Easter craft idea to the site. If you have any more, we'd love to hear about that.

Happy Easter to you and yours.
Blessings,
Angie

Thanks Jane,

I also found a couple of videos that might help our readers blowing out Easter eggs successfully. There are a couple of different options shown here and should give everyone the basics.
