Easter Egg Tree

Easter Egg Tree

Easter Egg Tree

How to Make an Easter Egg Tree!

First choose the tree. Cut a couple of strong twigs with strong sideways branches (2 or 3 depending upon how elaborate you want your egg tree to be).

Use twine or strong ribbon twisted and twined around the "trunk" like a vine to join your twigs into a "tree".

Choose a base for your tree, maybe a piece of foam decorated with Easter basket grass? Whatever you like.

Now the eggs. Use a pin to poke a fairly large hole in one end of a raw egg. Do a smaller hole in the other end. Be careful its easy to break the egg. Poke a toothpick in the egg to break the yolk, this makes it easier for the next part.

Hold the egg over a bowl, close your mouth over the smaller hole, and blow the egg out of the shell. This take caution and good wind. A slow steady, strong pressure works best.

After the eggs have dried out a little, you and your child can paint and decorate them any way you want. Glue pieces of pretty narrow ribbon to one end of the egg and tie it in a bow onto your tree!

A fun project you can do over and over every Easter!

I really love this Easter Egg Tree idea for an Easter craft for kids or just to decorate your home.

I can imagine it would be a bit tricky to hollow out the eggs without breaking the shell. :-) With your careful instructions, though, I do think it would be a lot of fun.

These Easter craft idea would even make a nice gift for someone if you were invited somewhere for the Easter celebration.

Thanks for taking the time to share your Easter crafts with us!
