Dessert Shells

How do I get the chocolate dessert shells out of the mold without breaking them?

Hi Carla,

It's a good idea to lightly oil the mold to ease the release of the chocolate when it is set. You can just wipe the inside of the mold with a paper towel that has been dampened with a light vegetable oil.

Another tip to help release stubborn chocolate from a mold is to pop it in the freezer for a few minutes.

Usually, chilling the chocolate makes it contract so that it releases from the mold automatically when it is lightly tapped upside down on the counter top.

Hope this works for you and that you don't have any further difficulties.

Blessings,
Angie
