Chocolate Pretzels In Fridge?

by Christine

How long should chocolate covered pretzels stay in the fridge? The chocolate is hardened but how long for them to set?

Hi Christine,

You only really want to place the chocolate covered pretzels in the fridge to get the chocolate to harden. That is considered "setting." The chocolate is set.

This really isn't even necessary if it is cool enough in your house to let the chocolate 'set' at room temperature.

I've found that if you DO use the fridge, you don't want to leave the pretzels in there long enough to absorb moisture. It can make the pretzel part of your chocolate covered pretzels taste stale sooner.

So, if you must put your chocolate covered pretzels in the refrigerator, only leave them in long enough for the chocolate to harden.

Enjoy!
~Angie
