Chocolate Pixie Sticks
(Brentwood Northern Calif)
My homemade Chocolate Pixie Sticks give me a chocolate fix, just when I need it.
I happen to be on Weight Watchers, so when I need a chocolate fix I eat a spoonful of this mix.
- Cocoa powder--whichever one you like best
- Whey Low powder sugar
- Whey Low brown sugar
- Whey Low sugar
- Pinch of salt to taste
I mix it about 5 sugars to 1 cocoa powder to get a combination that I really like. You can adjust it according to your own personal tastes.
It's a lot like a chocolate pixie stick and is a satisfying treat.
Hope you like it,
What a clever little idea! In spite of the fact that I adore chocolate and run this chocolate themed website, I also have to watch my weight, all the time!
In fact, I'm in the middle of a very strict diet at the moment, which makes it pure torture to work on the website. :) You have no idea how difficult it is to think about chocolate for hours when you can't indulge yourself in even a single bite! Ugh!
Nevertheless, I can see the beauty and simplicity of this chocolate pixie sticks idea that can let you cheat without cheating at all.
Now, let me ask you a question about this Whey Low sugar you've mentioned. This is not a sugar substitute that I've ever used before. I don't think it's available here in Australia (at least not in my neck of the woods), but I'd like to know more about it.
I try to shy away from anything that is made from chemicals like aspartame or saccharine, etc. These are really a form of poison, in my opinion, and do us much more harm than the actual sugar we are trying to avoid.
But what about Whey Low? Tell me more about it. What are the exact ingredients in it? What do you think about the taste?
Looking forward to hearing more from you.
