You will simply love these chocolate peanut butter fudge recipes if you enjoy the sweetness of chocolate and the richness of peanut butter. It is definitely a match made in heaven. :)
Preparing a chocolate peanut butter fudge recipe is a treat that I try to only indulge in at the holidays or on special occasions.
The only reason I have this unusual restriction is because when I get in the same house with this scrumptious treat, I lose all sense of self control.
You may be more disciplined than I am, but I thought it was only fair that I should warn you. This stuff is pretty great.
That's not to say that I don't BUY chocolate peanut butter fudge from time to time. In fact, I do. You do have to have the odd exception to the rules, don't you? :)
Here are a few of my favorite chocolate and peanut butter fudge recipes. I hope you like them!
Combine sugar, cocoa, milk, and syrup in a large heavy saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Add 2 tablespoons butter, and stir until melted; cover and boil mixture for 3 minutes.
Remove cover and continue cooking without stirring until mixture reaches soft ball stage (234 degrees). Remove from heat, and add remaining butter, peanut butter, pecans, and vanilla (do not stir).
Cool mixture 10 minutes.
Beat until well blended. Pour into a buttered 9-inch square pan. Cool and cut into squares.
Butter one 9x9 inch pan. Combine the sugar, evaporated milk and cocoa in saucepan. Stir over high heat until mixture comes to a rolling boil. Lower heat to medium and continue cooking to a soft ball stage.
Remove from heat, add peanut butter and margarine. Stir until creamy; pour into prepared pan. Allow to cool and cut into squares. Store in airtight container in the refrigerator. For longer storage, keep it in the freezer.
Mix together peanut butter, powdered sugar and melted butter; set aside.
In a large mixing bowl combine chocolate chips, butter pieces, marshmallow cream and vanilla.
In a saucepan, heat granulated sugar and evaporated milk over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 6 minutes. Continue stirring throughout.
Pour liquid over chocolate mixture in bowl and stir until thoroughly blended. Pour into well-buttered 8 or 9 inch square pan. Carefully spoon reserved peanut butter mixture over fudge layer, spreading evenly. Refrigerate until set. Cut into squares and serve. Makes about 5 dozen pieces.
In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt peanut butter chips, 1 cup condensed milk and 2 tablespoons butter; stir occasionally.
Remove from heat; stir in peanuts. Spread mixture into wax paper lined 8" square pan.
In small saucepan, melt chocolate chips, remaining condensed milk and butter. Spread chocolate mixture on top of peanut butter mixture. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel off paper and cut into squares. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
