Chocolate lollipops

by Marie Radesco
(Saint James, NY)

Hi,

I plan on making 60 chocolate lollipops in advance. Can I wrap each one in the plastic bag tied with a ribbon, and arranged in a basket for the event and leave them on my table at room temperature?

Do I have to also put them in an airtight container. The affair is a month away, but I would like to do them in advance, as I will be making other favors for this.

Hi Marie,

Whether you can store your chocolate lollipops at room temperature for a month or not depends a lot on the stability of the temperature.

If you feel confident that the room stays pretty much the same temperature and humidity, you shouldn't have any trouble with the lollipops displayed in a basket as you described.

Be sure to keep anything with strong odors (scented candles, onions, etc.) away from your basket of lollipops or the chocolate can absorb the smell. ;)

Will you take a picture and show off your finished event display? We'd love to see it! :) You can add it to our molded chocolate candy page.

Have fun!
Angie
