Chocolate Friends

by Alison
(State)

This is the chocolate recipe that I make when I am having a party and nobody likes the party favors at the stores. Make sure you have.............

3 cups of milk
5 tablespoons of cocoa
1 tablespoon of butter
1 tablespoon of vanilla

Pour the sugar, milk, and cocoa in a pan and let it boil while you are stirring.

When it gets to the soft ball texture pour in the butter and vanilla. Then take it off of the stove and put it in any molds that you would like.

You can freeze the chocolates and then pop them out.

Just make sure that before you pour the chocolate in the molds that you spray pam or any kind of butter on the molds. They will not pop out in one piece otherwise.

Cute idea, Alison! It sounds pretty yummy too. You can pick up some adorable molds at Candyland Crafts to match almost any theme for your party.

I'm sure the kids would love to see themed chocolate candy as their party favors!

Thanks for sharing this simple candy recipe for kids with the rest of us.

How much sugar in chocolate friends?
by: Angie

Ah! You're right. Nice catch. She listed the sugar in the instructions, but not in the list of ingredients. :)

Alison, how much sugar do you use in this recipe? I'll make the correction if you just add the note as a comment. ;)
