Chocolate Covered Wedding Oreos

Chocolate Covered Wedding Oreos

Chocolate Covered Wedding Oreos

I just recently did these chocolate covered oreos for a wedding favor.

I molded wedding bells and placed them on top of the oreo after I dipped them.

To add to the look of the wedding bells I dusted them with Gold dusting powder.

The groom's mother (my cousin) was very pleased with them.

Hi Diane,

These wedding Oreo favors are beautiful. That was a very clever idea. I like the way you packaged them too.

Are those little plastic party favor boxes? What's the filler? Shredded tissue paper? Do you have any trouble with the chocolate marking up the filler?

Any tips you'd like to add would be so helpful to others who may like to give your cute wedding favor idea a try.

Have you ever thought about selling your party favors or homemade goodies? If so, pop over to my page on selling candy online and share your interest and opinion by taking the candy seller survey.

Keep these beautiful ideas coming!

I used shredded filler paper from the craft store and those wedding favor boxes that came with a ribbon and a cut out "Thank You" that you attached to the ribbon.

No problems with the chocolate smudging the box because I have a glove that is used just for handling chocolates.

Chocolate Making Glove

Thanks Diane,

I love the glove idea. Is it just a white cotton glove that you've pressed into service, or did you purchase a specific chocolate making glove somewhere?

Hi Angie,

I purchased the glove from a candy supply store years ago. It has served me well over the 15+ years I have been making candy. I highly recommend it.

Decorating Glove/Candy Making Glove
by: Angie

I got curious and did a bit of looking around and I see that they have a white cotton decorating glove/candy making glove available at Candyland Crafts.

They're so inexpensive! I definitely can see the benefits of getting a pair for future candy making ventures. Thanks again for the tip!
