Velveeta Cheese Chocolate Fudge

Velveeta Cheese Chocolate Fudge

I would never have guessed that this wonderful creamy chocolate fudge was made with cheese. I was so surprised when I found out the recipe after trying this delicious treat one holiday.

Even though it may seem a bit odd or disgusting - it's not! Give it a try and see for yourself how good this fudge really is...

1 lb. (half a loaf) Velveeta Cheese, cut in cubes
2 lbs. powdered sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

  1. Combine cheese, cocoa, butter, and chocolate chips in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir frequently until well blended completely melted.

  2. Remove saucepan from heat and add the vanilla, powdered sugar and walnuts (I like mine better without the nuts).

  3. Pour mixture into a buttered 9x13 baking dish to cool. Cut into squares when cool and set.

This has become one of my favorites. I hope you and your family will enjoy it, too.

Thanks Mom! I remember you telling me about this recipe years ago. It certainly is different! I'll have to put it to the test.
