Chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Squares

I actually made up this recipe this year for Chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Squares out of desperation for some sweets when I was stuck at home due to poor weather! I was amazed at how good it was and my family LOVED it! Here is what I did:
In a large sauce pan I combined...
- 1 stick of salted, organic butter
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup marshmallow cream
I cooked this over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the butter was melted and the three ingredients combined well.
I then added...
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons powdered baking chocolate
Continuing to stir constantly, I cooked the mixture until it was boiling and then until it was really thick and bubbly.
Once this happened (about 10 minutes), I removed the pan from the heat and added...
- 1/2 cup organic natural creamy peanut butter
I stirred until the peanut butter was completely dissolved and incorporated into the mixture. I then poured the hot thick liquid into a greased square glass cake pan.
I placed the pan directly into the refrigerator and allowed it to chill for a few hours.
The end result was a smooth, creamy, chocolate/peanut butter fudge that was also chewy. It was SO good that I am making another batch for Christmas!
Hope someone else can enjoy my funny little recipe!
Thanks Scott! These chewy chocolate peanut butter fudge squares sound delicious!!
You're a clever fellow. I'm not very good at creating my own recipes out of thin air. :-)
I'm going to have to give this one a try soon - maybe even in time for Christmas.
Merry Christmas!
