Carob Chips

I actually bought carob chips because they were cheaper than chocolate for cookies...I didn't realize they weren't chocolate....how are they SO sweet without sugar?? Hi Jenna, Are you sure the carob chips you purchased don't have sugar in them? Sometimes they do have sugar and sometimes they don't, depending on the brand, etc. Carob does have some natural sweetness to it, in my opinion, but if you think they are 'SO' sweet, I suspect you might have purchased carob with sugar.
