Candy Melts Streaking

Help! I'm using light blue candy wafers by Wilton. I've used them before without any problem.

Today, I've made two attempts making sure not to overheat the wafers or to put them in the refrigerator.


After they've set in the mold, white streaks appear on the topside (the side exposed to the air) but not the mold side.


What's going on?

Not really sure what the problem is. It sounds like you are taking the necessary precautions of not overheating or allowing any moisture to affect them. Very strange.


Maybe someone else can offer some suggestions for you.
