candy centerpieces

Candy centerpieces are a wonderful way to beautify your table!

Whether it be an intimate dinner party at home, a large social gathering, wedding reception, church function, office Christmas party, or any other special occasion, candy table centerpieces are a big hit.

Not only do your guests get the visual delight of your candy creations, they also get the pleasure of sampling the delightful morsels throughout the party.

If you don't know how to make a candy centerpiece, don't worry. It's really easy!

You can throw together something as simple as a few handfuls of your favorite candy into a basket, bowl, or box.

That's pretty basic, but if you're in a rush and need something quick, visit our chocolate candy centerpiece page for more ideas on how to dress up a simple candy table centerpiece into something special.

If you're feeling quite adventurous, you can make a chocolate candy bouquet as your centerpiece. Perhaps one for each table?

Or how about a selection of molded chocolates? Did you know there are molds that enable you to make large chocolate centerpieces in various shapes? A house, a church, animals, etc.

But, here's a step-by-step guide to use a foam wreath form to make a centerpiece that can be used on your table. You might like to put a candle in the center, or a vase of flowers, or something else appropriate to the occasion.

How To Make A Candy Centerpiece

  1. Another way to make a centerpiece is to use a styrofoam form. These are available at most craft and fabric stores. I have purchased them at JoAnn Fabrics, Michael's, etc.

  2. You will also need to purchase floral picks. They come with a wire attached which makes it quick and easy to attach the wrapped candy pieces. You can get all the craft bits you need to make this project below. ***Alternatively, you can use ball head or pearlized straight pins.

  3. Last, but definitely not least, is the wrapped hard candy or chocolate candy pieces. Choose your favorite wrapped chocolates, or select candies that are wrapped in a color theme that you want to use.

  4. Secure your candies, 2-3 pieces at a time to the wired picks and insert them into your foam form. Repeat the process until your form is completely covered.

  5. If you want, you can add a single ribbon for decoration at one end (especially if you decide to later use it as a wreath), or perhaps weave a ribbon throughout the centerpiece.

Additional Options: To make a very similar looking candy table centerpiece, you swap out the foam wreath for a wire or vine wreath and attach the wrapped candy by using pieces of ribbon or even hot glue.

You're really only limited by your own imagination! Here are some supplies you might want to grab to help you get started making your creation whether it be a chocolate centerpiece or one made of other soft or hard candy.

Have fun!

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten!
