Happy 64th Birthday Dad!
I made this card for my Dad back in 2005.
I wish that I had taken a picture of this card so I could show it to you, but I'll do my best to describe it.
It was my first time making a candy bar card and it really was a hit at the birthday party!
A Birthday Wish In Candy. Ohh...how sweet it is!On this special day Dad we wanted to share our M & M (many memories) with you.
You have carried MOUNDS of burdens on your shoulders and you kept that CAREFREE spirit through it all.
You always kept your PROMISES.
When PAYDAY came we always got our allowances.
You came to our rescue when we needed you most. What a LIFESAVER.
Sometimes we behaved like AIR HEADS, NERDS, and RUNTS.
And you didn't spare your SMARTIES the punishment they deserved.
Your words of correction were always seasoned with a
BIT-OF-HONEY.
You told us to get GOOD & PLENTY of exercise to keep us young and healthy.
You said eat right and stay away from those HOT TAMALES and MALTS. Take my advice NOW AND LATER you want regret it.
We wanted to do something special for your birthday. We came up with a NUTRAGIOUS idea.
We can hardly contain our SNICKERS and CHUCKLES.
It took us 64 years to save 100 GRAND but we did it.
We are going to send you on a shopping SPREE at GOOBERS on the corner of FIFTH AVENUE and CLARK.
We hired a chauffeur and his assistants MIKE AND IKE to help you with your packages.
You can keep these gifts as a MENTOS of this special occasion.
We also hired a 10 piece SYMPHONY to sing Happy Birthday to you.
You have our best wishes,
HUGS and KISSES for the happiest 64th birthday ever!
My dad loved his card and everybody else thought it was great. Maybe someone can use some of these ideas in their cards, too.
