Can you mix chocolate chips with almond bark?

I have run out of almond bark, and all I have is a little left enough to cover some cake balls.

I was wondering if you can mix the two separate ingredients seeing how they are both chocolate but somehow two different things.

I know that you cannot mix liquid with almond bark, so could I mix the chocolate chips in to make it last more?

Hi Jocelyn,

Yes, you can mix chocolates chocolate chips with almond bark to cover your cake balls. Sounds quite yummy! :)

If you have the ability to take photos of your finished cake balls, I'd love to have you add them to the site. Just use the form at the bottom of the chocolate covered page.

Blessings,
Angie

Dipping using chocolate chips and almond bark NEW

If the tops are setting, the ratio is probably okay. Can you just turn them and let the bottoms become the tops for a bit to see if they will set that way? You could also chill them for a few minutes to finish off the setting process.

Chocolate not setting up NEW
by: Pam

I used a 1 to 1 ratio of almond bark and semi-sweet chips for a recipe to dip Ritz crackers filled with peanut butter. The tops are setting up fine, but the bottoms are still soft. Should I change the ratio?
