Baking Pan As A Chocolate Mold

Question:

Can I use a baking pan as chocolate mold?

If so, do I need to grease the pan before I pour chocolate in it?

Answer:

Yes, you can use a baking pan in place of a chocolate mold.

What kind of chocolate are you trying to make? If it is just plain melted chocolate, you really don't need to grease the pan.

The chocolate should release fairly easily. If it doesn't, chill it for a couple of minutes in the fridge or freezer and it should pop off.

If you are making chocolate fudge or some other type of chocolate mixture, you will probably be better of lightly buttering the baking pan or lining it with waxed paper or foil.

Have fun!
