I always enjoy the Christmas season. It is a joyous reminder of the birth of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Without His wonderful gift of salvation, paid for with His own precious blood, my life and eternity would be quite hopeless. I love Him for His selfless sacrifice for me.

Share Your Favorite Holiday Recipes!
I'm having such fun with Chocolate Candy Mall's newest addition. I've had several of you wonderful chocoholics add your own pages to the site, sharing your creativity with the rest of us. Thanks heaps! There is plenty of room for more!
Take the time to tell us your favorite Christmas candy tradition and share a recipe or favorite chocolate candy gift. It's simple.

Since I'm asking you to share your favorites, I thought I'd better do the same and share with you some of mine. Here goes...
Chocolate Rocky Road Fudge Brownies
This recipe for Chocolate Rocky Road Fudge Brownies doesn't really fall into the category of "chocolate candy." In a case like this, I'm willing to make an exception! A good friend of mine, Patricia, made these delicious brownies for me several years ago. I fell in love with them then and have adored them ever since.
Christmas is a time for indulgences. If you are off to visit friends for a festive gathering, why not whip up a batch of these delectable treats to take along. Your friends will thank you, I promise!
(This recipe is easily doubled if you'd like a larger batch)
- 1 1/4 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine chocolate chips, marshmallows, and nuts and set aside.
- Place butter in large bowl and heat in microwave for 1-2 minutes until completely melted.
- Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla, stirring until well blended.
- Add flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt, mixing well. Spread into a buttered pan.
- Bake for 22 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chip mixture on top and bake for 5 more minutes or until marshmallows are melted a bit. Cool and cut into squares. Yumm!
Chocolate Candy Cane Truffles
Another favorite that I recently discovered is this delicious minty Chocolate Candy Cane Truffle Recipe that I recently added to the site.I don't personally like the coconut version (never could eat the stuff), but the minty candy cane goes superbly with the chocolate.
Try this one for yourself, and let me know how you like it!
