I`m having a hard time writing a 40th Birthday Candy Bar Card for a friend and bowling buddy. She is turning the big 40 and we are whacking our brains out trying to come up with something funny.

Where have the years gone? They've slipped through your BUTTERFINGERS and now UNO you're starting down the other side of the MOUNTAIN.

Getting older is no PICNIC. You've got a ROCKY ROAD ahead of you. Your MOUNDS will begin to sag and your face will start to show all those CHUCKLES you indulged in over the years. Your joints will start to KRACKEL, and you may even start to get a little CHUNKY.

But, don't worry. Your SPECIAL friends won't SNICKER at you. We're all in the same boat NOW&LATER.

Don't even consider going to 5TH AVENUE to try to get work done on your WHATCHAMACALLIT. You can't be a BABY RUTH forever. Besides it costs like 100 GRAND!

Just take some EXTRA time to enjoy some CAREFREE moments. You can go on a shopping SPREE. Or, better yet, let's go bowling. WERTHER your SKOR is ZERO or you play a WHOPPER of a game, we'll have GOOD&PLENTY of fun.
